Activating tablepress blocks other elements on a page

  • I have a website I am doing some work on and have utilized tablepress to make some product information easier to read (it was previously large images of a spreadsheet) Its up working and looks great but we have noticed that two elements disappear from the page if tablepress it active. The first is a box over a moving background that links the user to “improvements and upgrades” the second is three images that move in from the side that say custom, modular, and rebuildable.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The cause for this is the (attempted) use of the DataTables JavaScript library for this table. This will not work, as the table uses merged cells (using #colspan#). You will therefore have to uncheck the “Use DataTables” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen.

    In addition, there’s a small visual issue. To fix that, please go to the place where you entered the Shortcode for the table. There, please switch to the “Text” instead of the “Visual” editor. After that, you should see HTML tags like <pre> and </pre> wrapped around the [table ... /] Shortcode. Please remove those HTML tags.
