    Could you see Ticket 3662347 on the siteground support?

    This site experiences something strange from SG Optimizer. The biggest problem is 504 error when this plugin was activated.

    More specifically, turning on Memcached on the configuration seems to cause the 504 error.

    The issue you have is due to the 1 MB Object Size Limit. If you have an option set to autoload which has huge value (let’s say a lot of text), the Memcache will get the following error:

    SERVER_ERROR object too large for cache

    We will check this issue and will try to fix it in the upcoming versions by somehow configure the drop-in to not send big keys to Memcached at all.

    Unfortunately, there is no solution to such an issue, so I recommend you to disable the Memcache until we fix the problem.
