    Hi,

When combined with Autoptimize, activating/deactivating any plugins or updating any posts will clear entire cache of Cache Enabler. (The cache size becomes zero.)

The “Clear the complete cache” options are turned off.

When Autoptimize is deactivated, the problem doesn’t occur.

Do you have any thought about what is triggering this issue?

Thank you for making this wonderful plugin.

  • Have you tried deactivating other plugins (besides just CE and Autoptimize) to see if there might be another plugin interfering somewhere? I tried to replicate the issue on a default WordPress install however Cache Enabler’s cache size remained constant even when activating/deactivating plugins.

Disabling the anti spam plugin (WP-SpamShield) solved the issue. I didn’t notice it has an Automatic Cache Purge function.

Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi @cookingwithdog,

Hopefully we can shed some light on things. No need to disable the entire plugin…in your WP-SpamShield settings, you can just disable the Automatic Cache Purge feature. (Although, we recommend not doing this, as it’s actually a good thing.) Content only needs to be cached for a few hours to help improve site performance…it’s not a “one and done” type of thing. Caches need to be refreshed regularly for things to keep working properly. Caches should always be cleared after plugins are updated, activated, deactivated, etc. WP-SpamShield helps by doing this automatically so you don’t have to worry about it.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any further questions.
