Activating plugin: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    Morning all,

    Whenever I click ‘Activate’ for any plugin, I am taken to a blank page containing the following error message ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.’.

    Of note the address of the page in address bar is showing ‘https://www.soffitmesh.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?page=woo-compare-features’.

    I have restored to several previous backups of the website but to no effect, which I’m totally confused by as I’d have thought this’d have fixed the issue. So am thinking it may be some kind of cache issue somewhere, although the problem exists for both Chrome and IE and exists even when using an incognito tab. The querystring in the address above (page=woo-compare-features) may be a clue as I had installed then uninstalled a few plugins to compare woocommerce products not long before I noticed this issue!

    Have checked admin settings in phpMyAdmin and they seem okay, i.e. are ‘a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;s:1:”1″;}’.

    Please, can anyone advise?
