Activating Plugin Changes Image Path

Hello and thank you for this plugin, but I am having a problem. My default WP upload path has been changed to something other than the default wp-content, and when I activate this plugin, it breaks all of the images. Upon inspecting the page, I find out that the paths have been changed back to wp-content, and if I deactivate the plugin the problem goes away. Any idea what is happening here? Thanks.
