    Hello:
    My Ultimate Member has some problem with sending activating Email. In the Ultimate Member > User Roles > Subscriber > Registration Option > Registration Status > Require Email Activation is selected. But when the new user want to register, he can’t receive the Activating Email (he uses yahoo’s mail).
    I install “Check & Log Email” plugin. And the log didn’t show my web site sent that “Activating Email”. Then I clicked Users > send password reset (to that inactivated user). He can get the password resetting Email. I have installed “WP Mail SMTP” plugin and have set up all correctly. And the test mail was sent without any error or warning.
    My UM Version is 2.1.16, WordPress Version is 5.7, “WP Mail SMTP” set Email to be [email protected] . Please help me to solve the problem, and really appreciate !!

    Activation email setup includes these steps:

    First
    UM -> Settings -> Appearance -> Registration form -> Registration Default Role

    Second
    UM -> User Roles ->
    Select the user role above defined as “Registration Default Role” -> Edit -> Registration Options -> Registration Status -> Require email activation

    What role is your UM “Registration Default Role”?

    My UM “Registration Default Role” is Subscriber.
    I miss to set the UM -> setting….. part

    Thanks for your concern.
    My mail server have a unknow problem. I try to apply a new mail smtp. I’ll use this mail to try with above solution tomorrow. Please wait for me. I will reply and mark as resolved of the issue later.

    @champsupertramp , @missveronicatv Thanks all of you. The Activating Email is sending successfully.
    I find another place that should be set correctly so that Activating Email can be sent. So totally there are there settings:

    First
    UM -> Settings -> Appearance -> Registration form -> Registration Default Role

    Second
    UM -> User Roles ->
    Select the user role above defined as “Registration Default Role” -> Edit -> Registration Options -> Registration Status -> Require email activation

    Third
    UM -> Settings -> Email -> Account Activation Email (edit template and check the box on the screen that appears)-> save change(edit template) -> save change(Settings -> Email)
