When I activate the ApplePay and Google Pay feature on my Woocommerce Stripe plugin, the plugin starts to load stripe JS files on every page of my website.

This is negatively impacting my Google Page speed and core vital performance.

How do I prevent the stripe files from loading on all page, and only load on the checkout page?

  • Hey there, @turnkeymaker! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I understand your website is slow due to Stripe loading JS on every page.

I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.
You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Thanks @carolm29 for the reply.

I don’t think you need all of those information to look into this.

The main issue is, why is it that stripe JS files are loading on all my pages when I activate the “Express Checkout” feature which enables Apple Pay & Google Pay.

I would have expected this to happen if I activated “Show express checkouts” on Checkout, Product page, Cart

But this aspect of the “Express Checkout” feature was not activated. So the JS file for handling Apple Pay & Google Pay is meant to only load on the checkout page where payment is required.
