• Hey everyone!

A few months ago I hired a freelancer on Freelancer.com to help me transform my website, OriolBikes.com, to what I had envisioned. He pretty much got it to where I wanted to be and I was happy.

Last month, the landing page seemed to change overnight and some of the images and text didn’t look like it did before. I tried to contact with the freelancer who did the work but never responded. I hired another Freelancer and he made it worse, so I tried to simply change themes to an simpler theme, Refur. However, after I designed the theme and activated it, the website was still showing the old theme.

Frustrated with not getting anywhere, I hired another freelancer to help me switch themes. In a very short time, the theme was switched and more or less got it to where I wanted to be.

After a few days of looking it over, there were certain features of the theme that were missing, so I changed to the Smallblog theme and I’m having the same issue. The theme shows as activated but the website is still displaying the Refur theme.

I’ve tried to clear the cache. I’ve tried on different computers, phones…still same problem. It’s very frustrating and I can’t continue to pay freelancers to adjust my themes! Maybe related to that as well, when I create a new post…it doesn’t show anywhere on the site, yet I can view it from the dashboard.

    Please help!

    Have you tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If your host provider has a “Purge Varnish” option or if you can ask your provider to flush memcache on your server.

I haven’t tried that, not too familiar on how to do that, but what puzzles me is the fact that the last freelancer that worked on the theme and got it to work, literally took 2 minutes to get it solved. That makes me believe that there must be something within WordPress that has been modified that prevents it from happening.
    I’m so frustrated

Start by implementing but I suggested above.
