• hi

I have tried a couple of times to activate this plugin but each time I have received the same fatal error message.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /var/www/thecrosscounts.com/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/mybooks-for-authors/ot-book-widget.php on line 110

I have tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling a few times but this does not work. I looked at the ot-widget page but there does not even seem to be 110 lines visible.

    Are you able to help?

Sorry I should maybe have mentioned I am using your latest version and wp 3.71 and have tried downloading fresh copies of your plugin on each occasion in case of faulty downloads. As well as installing directly through the internal install facility.

    I hope you can help

    Hey Ronson,

I just downloaded the plugin and installed it with no issues on activation.

You shouldn’t be seeing this error at all if you have all the plugin files. Have you tried uploading it through WordPress’ upload form (Plugins > Add New > Upload)?

    Two more things:

    1) Who is your web host?
    2) Have you tried deactivating other plugins that are unnecessary?

I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the plugin, but I’m unable to replicate the problem you’re having.

    I’m having the same problem.

I have tried installing the plugin by searching for it in wordpress and by uploading the files downloaded from the developer’s website.

I’m working on a local copy running on my machine for development, version 3.8.1.

I have no other plugins activated.
