    Hi,
I am getting the same error as: sergigonza

Updated to version 1.5.5 and generates 500 internal server error. Have to rename/deactivate the plugin to access the admin area. Running WP 4.9.4 and PHP 5.5.22

    Advice appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi @arinawinkelman,

In the PHP error log on your server, can see you see the message that was for the 500 error?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
Where would I find the php error log? I see nothing in the root of the website.

    Hi @arinawinkelman,

I would recommend contacting your hosting company to find out.

    Thanks,

    Hi Scott,
Well, contacted the web host who provided the URL for the error log. Reading thru it, I only see errors messages ‘near’ your plugin, when it cannot find the correct folder (since I renamed the plugin folder). Then, before and after that, there are numerous memory errors, particularly related to php sessions. The max PHP memory limit is 256Mb, and cannot be increased under the current package. Sigh. So, why loading your plugin triggers the issue, versus the other plugins running, I do not know.

    Hi @arinawinkelman,

I can’t recreate the problem, so I need to see the exact error message to understand the problem. It could be caused by any number of things, related or not related to the plugin.

I am not sure if PHP is the problem or not. PHP 5.5 is really old and at end of life (https://php.net/supported-versions.php) so I wold recommend upgrading anyways.

I am going to close this ticket for now, if you have an error message please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Scott
