I recently installed and tested this plugin on one site – no problems – excellent plugin.

Then I tried my main production site, (WordPress on Linux by GoDaddy) at m-adaa.org

I use the auto install and that goes ok, I then click on activate then I almost immediately get a 500 error. (I need to delete the folder from the server to recover the site.)

    I’ve tried twice.

    Please help. Thanks.

@sydunipete2 We see a different certificate active on your https site. You might have to config your server config file to use correct SSL certificate from keys/ folder.

Thanks for your quick response. I can’t see the folders in this tutorial. I have managed this site since is was first created and we haven’t installed any SSL certificates.

There is one folder named ssl which I have renamed but I still get the same error.

I’ve just seen the certificate you mention. It is in the name of the hosting provider.

You will need to contact your hosting support to fix the SSL certificate to new one generated in keys/ folder or you could try checking config(.conf) files in /etc/apache2/ or /etc/nginx/ which needs more technical knowledge and familiarity with SSH.

On the other hand, We could help resolve the issue in our premium support.

Thanks. I’d like to install the pro version to help work through this. I’ve sent you an email.

It’s working! I upgraded PHP, WordPress and all the plug-ins and now it’s working fine.

(My versions were over a year out of date.)
