ActionScheduler in continuous loop and database update needed constantly

    Hi since updating the website to woocommerce 4 and 4.01 we have had issues with the woocommerce database update in that it continuously shows that it is in progress, when you click to view the progress there are over a 1000 pendng but in the table it says no itenms found yet 645 pages. I contacted our server company and they told me to contact you as the error logs show:

    I can see quite a lot of dB errors in the log located at /public_html/error_log which look to appear when attempting to update the database.

    Unfortunately, we are not database administrators and have limited knowledge of the internals of WooCommerce, I would recommend you submit a ticket with WooCommerce Support and provide them with the following log entries which may be the cause of the issue.

    Hey there!

    Have you already tried testing for conflicts? If not, that is what I would first suggest doing.

    The best way to test for conflicts is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Thanks for getting back to me, yes already tried deactivating all plugins except WC and the theme is a child of Storefront but just switched it to the parent to be double sure but still the same.
    One thing that I did find was when I deactivated the WooCommerce admin plugin I kept getting fatal errors so had to rename the plugin folder to deactivate it. I am guessing that wc admin is no longer needed due to it being inbuilt to WC now?

    I was banging my head with the same problem!
    I found something here that worked for me. https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/25895
    Just go to Tools -> Scheduled Actions , click and wait to generate new table. That’s it!
