action=”amazon” doesn’t work

Hi,

I’d like to use your plugin to insert an image of a specific book cover in each of my posts. Then when my website visitors click on a book-cover image, I want them to be sent directly to the Amazon page that sells that book—without having to go first to the book preview page

But when I inserted the following shortcode into my post:

[showbookcover isbn=”0810959542″ action=”amazon”]

A copy of the book cover appears in my post, but nothing happens when I click on the book cover. I’m not sent to the Amazon page or anywhere else.

FYI, when I instead insert the shortcode [wpbooklist_shortcode action=”amazon”] into a post, the covers of all the books in my WP Book List library appear in the post, and clicking on one of the book covers sends me directly to the Amazon page that sells that book.

In other words, action=”amazon” works when I use it to conjure up my entire library. But action=”amazon” isn’t working when I just want one book to appear in my post.

FYI, when I use the shortcode [showbookcover isbn=”0810959542”], I see a copy of the book cover in my post. Clicking on the book cover sends me to the book preview page. But as I stated, I want to send my visitors directly to Amazon, not to the book preview page.

Please advise how I fix this. Thanks.

P.S. I’ve been testing your plugin on posts, but does your plugin also work when used to add book covers to custom post types? Or does your plugin only work on posts and pages?
