Hello,

Log reports the following critical Uncaught RuntimeException related to action scheduler.

Other symptoms are :

“WooCommerce database update” in progress never ending
other message “the action scheduler migration
1391872 past-due actions in action scheduler.

I tried to deactivate all plugins and siwtch to twenty twenty three theme, but it had no effect on this issue.

Can you help ?

Can you please try increasing your server’s PHP Time Limit to something like 1200?

You can refer to this guide for help or contact your hosting provider to help you with this.

Thank you for your answer ; I have set the php time limit to 1200 and let it that way overnight – but it hasn’t solved the issue : I still have the symptoms mentionned.

The Uncaught RuntimeException doesn’t reveal much, it basically says the code execution stopped running for an unknown reason.

That said, based on the rest of the log, it seems like there might be an issue with WP-cron(which the action scheduler relies on to function properly) or there could be a problem with the database.

I suggest you try re-installing WooCommerce, this should restore any corrupted files.

Make sure to create a backup before doing so just in case things go wrong.

If that didn’t help then please contact your host to help you debug both the database and WP-cron.

You can also ask them if there are any server error logs related to the issue. If they find any, please feel free to share them with us here.
