I’ve been seeing this alert message for a while, even though I keep plugins, theme and PHP updated regularly.

I believe I’m using the most recent version of plugins but the message remains. I also cannot dismiss the message (click on the button and nothing happens)

I have tried running the site with the standard WordPress theme Twenty Twenty-Three while also disabling all plugins apart from WooCommerce plugins. The alert still appears and there seems to be nothing I can do to resolve it.

I’ve posted a snippet of the SystemStatusReport for my site.

    Any ideas what’s going on?

    Hi @eamonlaser ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are seeing the above notice, although everything appears to be updated, is this correct?

Do you have a caching plugin installed? If yes, could you purge all cache and see if that makes a difference? Also, does using a different browser make any difference?

On the other hand, kindly note that this forum is dedicated to support related to the WooCommerce core plugin.

Should the issue persist, since this issue pertains more to the WooCommerce Payments plugin, please could you create a topic in the correct forum.

Additionally, please share your full System Status Report when doing this, so that we can take a closer look.

We’ll be happy to assist further there ??

    Cheers!

Thanks for your reply. I tried after clearing the cache and it didn’t help. I then visited the page you suggested to post my question again, and saw one of your support team had posted that this was a known issue, and would be fixed in WooCommerce version 7.8.0 – the alert apparently appears even when sites aren’t using the WooCommercePayments plugin so is actually thought to be a WooCommerce Core issue.

    Thank you for reaching out!

This is a known issue and should be fixed in WooCommerce version 7.8.0.

Here’s the PR for context: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/36913

If you have access to the database, one workaround you can try is to locate the notice in one of these tables and change its status to “actioned.”

    HI @eamonlaser

Yes, it’s a known bug and the matter appears to have been reopened for further discussion, and there are hopes that it will be resolved soon.
