Is there a way to retain the Orders page action buttons for custom order statuses?

We have used this to create a ‘Packed’ status, for orders that have been prepared but not yet collected by the courier.

Sadly when using this status the action button ‘Add Tracking’ on the main Woocommerce ‘Orders’ page does not appear, so we’ve had to backtrack for the moment.

    Picture as an example:

@jwfrag Are you using a plugin for the other action buttons and the add tracking feature? Could you tell me the name and version? Could you send a screenshot showing how it looks liek when the plugin is disabled?

My apologies I thought these were a Woocommerce feature!

Just tested and ‘Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce’ is the source, Version 3.5.

Just spotted your edit, this is with the plugin disabled.

And the “add tracking” button was supposed to be there? I only see it inside the “Order Page”, there is a button where set the tracking info. But it shows on all custom status here. I noticed that the plugin renames “complete” to “shipped”, but the regular action buttons are there. Could you show me more evidences of the issue?

    > there is a button where set the tracking info. But it shows on all custom status here.

Strange. This is the button in question, with the shape of a pin drop on the map.

But as highlighted, it’s not appearing for my custom statuses.

Am i right in understanding that this button does appear for your own custom statuses?

Here’s another example with an order that has now been marked as ‘Shipped’ (originally completed, as you say) but still has the button to add tracking information.

Is the “packed” a custom order status or it is created from the other plugin? And what is the text that show when you do a mouse hover on it? (That button does not show when you disabled the custom order status plugin, right? so my guess it is the icon for the custom status)

    > Is the “packed” a custom order status or it is created from the other plugin?

Packed was created as a custom order status, here’s the settings page for it:

    > And what is the text that show when you do a mouse hover on it?

Is something supposed to show? Strangely, I get no tooltip box or text when hovering. If I click the order status it takes me to the page for that specific order.

    > That button does not show when you disabled the custom order status plugin, right?

If I disable the custom order status plugin all those currently assigned a custom status dissappear even when viewing ‘all’ orders.

Here’s what it looks like in that case (sorry for the ugly redactions):

(Thanks so much for your help so far by the way, if you dont think this is fixable or think it’s something on my end, dont worry too much)

For now the only issue I see is that the “extra icon” is not appearing on the custom status on your side, but it seems to be only a link to the order, right? It seems the “view action” is not showing in the custom status.

When you do not set an icon to the order status it uses the regular default eye/view icon

    Possibly some cross-wires here.

The missing button is the add tracking one highlighted in red below:

    https://gyazo.com/3e8ef38b08aff9f3d251865f6fa2af33

this is what it should show when clicked:

But for whatever reason it simply doesn’t appear for orders with a custom order status.

I’ve removed the following option in both to avoid confusion:

Could tell me where you turned on this option on the tracking plugin? It is not showing to me

Ah, you’re a hero and i apologise but i’ve wasted your time simply by not knowing where that button originated in the first place.

For anyone else who ever comes across this issue, essentially there is a box within AST under ‘Add Tracking Options’ called ‘Add Tracking Order action’. Alongside this you can select the order statuses which this applies to.

Apologies again, really sorry to waste your time!
