• Another Acronym Replacer?
    Yes… and no.
This new plugin wraps acronyms defined by you with the a€?acronym taga€?… so, you can manage all your acronyms (add, modify & delete). Also, you can define a URI for each acronym and the plugin will wrap the acronym tag with the entered link.
The plugin has a very simple and intuitive Admin Tool. And it’s “one file only”! ??
Installation: Just download the plugin, unzip, upload to “/wp-content/plugins/”, activate it, manage your acronyms and be happy.
This plugin code is Joel Bennett’s plugin Acronym Replacer based, plus the great ideas and inspiration of Faemino and Bolg. Thanks all!

  • Hello – I’m trying to use this, but I keep getting:
failed to open stream: Permission denied in …/wp-content/plugins/acronym-revisited.php on line 85
    Error Opening File

I do have full access to the file. Any ideas?

    Hmm…

I have the same problem as Jaxia : /

You have to be able to create the acronym-revisted-config file in the wp-content directory. What is your directory set as?

This really looks like the sort of thing I would want to use but I have the same problem as the others and the spanish site doesn’t help much

I downloaded it a long time ago and activated it. Once you do that, it’s all in English. It gives you a management page for changing and adding your acronyms.

Ah, yes.. but I cannot even get to that point because of the errors.

Ah. After a bit of translating at the writer’s website I udnerstand the issue, whihc jwurster was trying to get at. Simply make sure your permissions are set by CHMODing the wp-content folder to 777.
