Achievements menu with the Badges sub menu does not appear once I created my first achievement type.

    Hi @ph59 ,

Please, first of all check our tutorial on how to set achievements: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-an-achievement-type/ .

If following this tutorial does not help to solve the issue, please perform a conflict test.

Here is an explanation on how to perform a conflict test: https://gamipress.com/docs/troubleshooting/theme-and-plugins-conflict-test/ .

    Hope it helps!

    Thanks, Tino. No plugin conflicts.

It dawns on me: Should I buy badges for the corresponding sub-menu to appear?

    Hi @ph59 ,

We couldn’t replicate this error in our end, and the sub-menu should appear to you in the moment you created an Achievement Type.

Please, could you check if you created a CPT with the slug “achievement-type”? This could cause the conflict.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi Tino,

Not sure what a CPT is.

    Hi @ph59 ,

Sorry, with CPT I meant a Custom Post Type. If you have a Custom Post Type with the slug “achievement-type” , it could cause conflicts with this sub-menu.

Please, consider checking if you have a Custom Post Type with that slug.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi,

I have never created any CPT on my website, though some applications may have done that. Since they would not appear on the regular pages or posts list, how do I check that my website has any CPT with the “achievement-type” slug? (I look around but could not find the answer)

    Thank you.

    Hi @ph59 ,

There are plugins that allow you to see your custom post types, as for example Custom Post Type UI.

If the problem persists, you can check if there are some theme conflicts with GamiPress in your installation.

We tried to replicate this problem in a new WordPress installation, but everything worked as intended.

    Hope it helps!
