ACF wysiwyg-editor removes tags

Since a while, probably since WP 5.2, the ACF editor, (classic editor) in visual mode, removes all <p>, </p> and <br /> tags, nor does the editor in visual mode create any of these tags automatically.
The editor on a page without ACF boxes, does not have this problem.
In TinyMCE advanced, I checked “Keep paragraph tags”. This didn’t solve the problem.
