ACF w/ACF Extended Tutorials

    Hi All,

    I’m versed enough with ACF and using some of the plugins like CPTUI, and some page builders etc. I’m noticing that w/ACF Extended, you can actually build some page items directly. Unfortunately, I don’t see much by way of tutorials/examples of how to build things with the plugin. Looks like it has MASSIVE options, but for the semi-noobs like myself, I wouldn’t know where to start. Any insight from anyone?

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback. ACF Extended is an extension of ACF Pro, it adds many new settings to ACF fields, new fields, new modules & features. You’ll find a complete list of features in the plugin readme and on the official ACF Extended website.

    Globally, ACF Extended works seemlessly as an overlay on ACF, so if you’re already used to ACF, you shouldn’t be lost. The UI doesn’t change much, but more options will appear seemlessly.

    Your question about “build some page items directly” is quite vague tho, so I don’t really know what to answer. However, please keep in mind that ACF Extended is built by developers, for developers and the most advanced features (like the advanced features for the flexible content) are designed to bring QOL features for developers.

    On the topic of the flexible content, for example, ACF Extended won’t create a page builder for you, but it will give you the tools to create one. Following the ACF philosophy: Bring more options and give the full control to developers.
