ACF shortcode returning NULL on Woo Product custom fields since 5.11.2

  • I have a Woo and Divi website that uses ACF to add custom fields to the woo products. The custom fields are displayed using the [acf field=”foo”] shortcode. Since and including ACF 5.11.2 the shortcodes have not been displaying anything and, presumably they are returning NULL.

    Not all of the Woo products are effected by this but most are. For a product that does have this issue, if I edit the product in the backend and simply Update it (I don’t need to do anything else), the problem is solved and that product correctly displays its ACF fields in the front end.

    The products were originally loaded into the website using the Woo Import Product function. Is it possible that something in this function has caused the problem, combined with the changes in ACF 5.11 to stop ACF from reading non-acf options and meta-data???
