ACF Fields are syncing across language versions when updated

  • I have a custom post type, “LBV Teams”, with FR and EN versions of each team listing.

    Recently all was working fine but in a recent update (and I didn’t notice which one, unfortunately) the EN and FR started syncing, so that if I updated a field in the EN verison of an LBV Team post, the same field in the FR version updated with the text I had just typed into the EN version. If I then went to try and fix the FR version and changed the field, for example, the “about” field, when I saved the updated FR version the same text in French would appear in the EN “about” field.

    Strangely, not all fields created in ACF for this custom post type are affected.

    I tried updating all the plugins but the issue is still there.

    The site setup is:
    Elementor Pro Version 3.5.2
    Elementor Version 3.5.3
    Custom post type Version 1.10.1
    Polylang Version 3.1.3
    Polylang Connect Version 1.0.6
    ACF Pro Version 5.11.4`
