Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, BUT, is there a way of taking the result of a shortcode on an event/location post e.g [location]#_LOCATIONLATITUDE[/location] or [event]Dates #_EVENTDATES[/event] and putting that into a custom field (probably using ACF since its popular)

Alternatively is there any other way of getting that sort of data into a custom field ?

I’m trying to work out how to get Events Manager to look good with Elementor and the extraction of certain data to custom fields seems to be the way to go, this is because Events manager already partially works with Elementor, e.g I can set up the content of the post within elementor perfectly, also I can build a template in anywhere elementor pro to bring in a variety of things, e.g conten, avatar, category, featured image etc

Now whilst I can use shortcodes to show things within a template e.g [event]Dates #_EVENTDATES[/event] to show the date I cannot adjust the styling of this in the same way that I can with the field _event_start_date, unfortunately I prefer the shortcode date results to the field date result ….

sorry but at the moment ACF is not yet officially integrated with EM but maybe you can try to search this forum with similar question before.

I don’t suppose it’s REST API compliant which would allow me to use JSON is it ?
