I am using your plugin in conjunction with Advanced Custom Fields. I have the latest versions of everything, but the fields are not showing in the editor to be edited. The fields show on regular posts and pages that are Gutenberg, but custom fields are not showing or will turn on in the Custom Post Type created with CPT Ui

I assume yes, but I’m going to ask and double check anyway. Do you have the fields/field groups set to show on the post types you’ve registered with CPTUI?

What editor experience are you using for the CPTUI post types as well?

Only other idea I have at the exact moment is perhaps they’re available, but just not visually shown via screen options and whatnot.

Yes everything is associated to the post type. Its showing me the gutenberg editor by default now where it wasnt before. The fields are available as posts with these fields are populated are showing on the front end. But you don’t see the fields on the backend anymore. And when I click show Custom Fields from the gutenberg options the window refreshes, but the fields don’t show and the box isnt checked.

Hrm…have you reached out to ACF support as well? or did you turn to ours first? Asking because it feels more like a potential issue with ACF more. Especially if things just suddenly stopped showing. We haven’t had any recent updates go out for the code to have caused anything, and I know ACF recently updated with a major version.

If you do reach out to them, and they find it’s something we need to change on our end, we’ll happily take the feedback to help ensure compatibility as much as possible.

I have the same problem too. i did not any solution yet. can anybody help?

For me, this problem only happens when the field group is “Normal”. To fix, go into the edit field group page and under settings, change position to “Normal (after content)” if it’s not already. That fixed it for me.

Edit: Field groups set to “Side” also does not display.

It’s still much more an ACF issue than a CPTUI issue, since it’s their product/UI/etc being added. As long as the post types are being registered and are available at the time, then CPTUI’s job is done.

Not sure if you were responding to me, but I want to say I do not place any blame your way!

Was a response for everyone who may stumble onto the thread. We’re good.

I have found the solution. check Rules in location and make sure to choose correct post type from the list.

I have the same problem. Suddenly custom fields stopped to appear while they are displayble in edit mode. I’m using ACF Version 5.8.3, Custom Post Type UI V1.6.2 and WordPress 5.2.3 running Syndey Theme.

    Please help…

@jchwp-1 try suggestions that others have listed in here to see if that helps at all, especially since my stance is still going to be it’s more an ACF issue overall. Also won’t hurt to see what their support says.

    Hi,

I too use acf to add conditional fields to my classified ad categories. The site is built with the theme Buddyboss and buddypress pluging. Unfortunately the custom fields do not appear in my ads. I have checked the settings and the position is already on Normal (after content) Can you help me to solve this problem? I am completely blocked in the advancement of the site.

    Thanks for all.

@sandrineledc1106 are you referring to backend/admin area or displaying the successfully saved values on the frontend?

If the latter, then CPTUI doesn’t have any hand in that topic, as we do not touch the theme/template files at all.

If the former, then have you made sure that your ACF field settings are set to include your post type(s) for where they’re registered against?

Yes, the values ??are not displayed on the front end ??
    Who could give me advice?

You or someone else helping out with the project is going to need to delve into the templates/theme to get the fields showing as needed.

Best help I can offer, since I don’t know anything about your setup/situation, is pointing you to the Advanced Custom Fields documentation.
