I am displaying a column “Awards” which is created with ACF however when the awards are submitted it doesn’t show up while it’s pending, only when it is published –> https://a.cl.ly/z8ubdLGv

I have nominees and awards joined together via ACF relationship field. How can I make the award show up in the column while pending.

    Hi @dlukefinch,

I’m sorry to hear that you encountered this problem. However, when I tested it, I found that the fields for Pending posts are displayed correctly in the table – https://i.imgur.com/Mo4r1xa.jpg.

Could you please provide more information about the field types of nominees and awards, as well as the relationship between them?

    Best regards,
    Sergiy.

    Hi @dlukefinch,

Thank you for the detailed video.

I believe the award might not be assigned to the nominee until you publish it, which could explain the behavior you observed. It might not be a plugin failure but rather how the system is designed to function.

Nevertheless, I’ll investigate further and update you as soon as I have any results. I have a busy workload this week, so I might need to look into it during the weekends when I have more time.

    Cheers, Sergiy.

    Hi @dlukefinch,

I’ve tried to reproduce your scenario, and it still shows the column value for me – https://i.imgur.com/FPgm2hh.jpg.
Are you sure that Award is actually assigned to Nominee? If yes, maybe there are some specific settings on your site that cause this issue.
What I would suggest in this case – trying to setup the same environment from scratch on the brand-new development site and see at what stage you can reproduce the empty field issue.

    Best regards,
    Sergiy.

    Hello @zahardoc,

Did you add those from the backend or the form wxawards.co.uk/submit? I’m using Forminator by WPMUDEV but they said it’s likely it’s your plugin.

    Hi @dlukefinch,

Do you mean you use Forminator form to create the new Nominee? If yes, could you make another video of your Forminator settings and process of sending the Nominee, so I could repeat it?

Also, did you check if Award is assigned to Nominee after the submission?

    Hi Dan,

Thank you so much for the additional video.

Unfortunately, it looks like your site has too specific settings to reproduce them. I would recommend hiring a developer who could dive into your issue and check what’s going on there.

Or, as an alternative variant, you can try to reproduce the issue on the brand-new site, and send me step-by-step instructions for reproducing the issue.

Sorry again, and hope you’ll be able to fix it,
    Sergiy.
