ACF and other meta field plugins

  • Really like to idea of this Plugin, but there are a few other options that might need to be built in to have it work for a larger WordPress Environment, images linked by custom fields.

    I use ACF, which has image upload/file upload and gallery options. Obviously this are stored in custom fields either with a single custom field and an image ID from the attachment post file or with a serialized array of image IDs.

    Likely tough to support all plugins that use custom upload fields, but maybe worth considering the few top ones like Pods, ACF.

    Let’s keep this topic opened, if there are more and more people interested I will probably do something. Or luckily, somebody will come with an answer directly, that would be even better ??

    I’m definitely interested in this one. I have a site with 19,000+ media items and it could DEFINITELY use a cleanup.

    I just checked out the source for your plugin and it looks like you’re already covering the ACF image and file fields with your wpmc_check_db_has_featured function.

    I am actually checking the custom fields, but it depends on how it’s implemented on the other plugin side. It should be okay but you have to test it first ?? Let me know if it works! Backup first ??
