ACF 5 Release Plan

What is the plan for releasing ACF 5 in the WP plugin repo? Will users be prompted to upgrade to ACF 5 from the wp-admin/plugins page?
We have a lot of sites using ACF (because it’s so awesome!), but we want to make sure site owners know what to do for upgrading to ACF 5, and what will happen if they have add-ons installed that are now part of the ACF 5 Pro plugin.
