acess my blog

Hello. I’m new at wordpress and when I searched the forum I didnt find the answer to my question. Let’s see, imagine if I want to block the acess to my wordpress blog (ex: xpto.www.remarpro.com), only my friends to access it (tey put the url and it shows kind of user/login page), If the user/pass is ok then show all of my posts and ideas if not keep repeting the login page. Is there a plugin for that, or any kind of way? Some friends told me that blogspot had something in the “permissions tab”, that only allow members to acess the blog. I need something like that.
