Hi, is there anyway for me to disable this? I have implemented Nextend Social Login so I do not want the modal to appear.

I have gone to Header > Account and set a custom link so it goes directly to /my-account/ and I’ve even tried /my-account/edit-account/ but any time I click on the icon it goes to /#account-modal, therefore opening the modal and ignoring my direct link.

    Thanks,
    John

  • Hi @jdrobertssff have you tried clean your caches (plugin, cdn, browser etc.)?

Yep. I don’t have Cloudflare enabled at the moment. I’ve purge my cache on both the SiteGround and using the SiteGround optimizer plugin on my website. I’ve tried Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. I’ve even changed the icon just so I could be sure changes were taking place – they are. But, for some reason the link on the ‘Account’ icon remains /#account-modal.

A work around I’ve done for now is to replace ‘Account’ with ‘HTML’, I’ve added an SVG icon which links to /my-account/.

@jdrobertssff there are two states for the account element, please make sure you set and test (if you logged in as an admin you won’t see/test the logged out state) the correct state (logged in and logged out).

I’m aware. I don’t go on the site as an admin to test. I stay logged in on one browser to make my chbages as admin and use other browsers to access the site as a guest. The account icon always links ato an loads /#account-modal. It does it on default, custom-link, dashboard, and WooCommerce settings

    Hello @jdrobertssff,
No, unfortunately there is no way to do this.

The account element (logged out state) was designed from the start to open the modal so you could enter your credentials.

If you want to have a simple link that redirects to the WordPress login page – simply use the HTML header element, add some text and link that text to your url.

    Hope this helps.
