• In my site settings I’ve turned on both the Account Welcome Email and the Account Approved Email. When a user registers, they received the welcome email (which works as expected). However, when I approve a user’s membership, the user once again receives the Welcome email, instead of the Account Approved email.

    I thought there might be a plugin conflict or theme conflict, but I installed a fresh version of WordPress and just added Ultimate Member, and it still displays the same behaviour. So is this a bug, or maybe there’s a setting somewhere that I need to change?

    Hi @zefrem23,

    Can you please check Account Approved Email message content in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Emails section and make sure it’s not the same as a Account Welcome Email, also check that the “Account Approved Email” is turned on.

    Hi, yes the email content is definitely different.

    I did this test also:

    – Turn off welcome email message
    – did a test registration (received no email, which I expected)
    – approved the test user
    – still received no account activation email

    So it seems like the welcome email is being used instead of the approval email, and this is both on a live client’s site and also on my offline test installation with just WordPress and the latest UM version.

    If you would like credentials to test the live site, I can provide them.

    I have a similar problem.
    When a user registers on our site, the Membership Manager receives notification emails from Ultimate Member, but no emails are sent to the user. Even pressing “resend activation” does not result in any mails being sent to the user.

    So underlying email seems OK, its just emails to the users that dont get sent.

    I’m also suffering from the same problem. None of the emails that are for the Members are working. Only those emails that are for the admin are working.

    I hate to admit it, but I discovered emails to users were ending up in their spam / junk folders. So relatively easy fix
