Hello, I have created some accordions using the plugin, but in each case that I try, the accordion is expanded by default and clicking on any of the headers will not collapse any of the parts.

In Chrome’s developer view, under console, I do see this error, but I am not sure what would cause it:

Uncaught TypeError: $(…).accordion is not a function
    at HTMLDocument. (VM539:549:65)
    at e (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.1:2:30038)
    at t (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.1:2:30340)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, I just made a discovery. they actually work in “incognito” mode in Chrome. I don’t know if that’s helpful. But any other normal way I try to view them, they are expanded.

    Hi @dereckcoatney,
    Thanks for your post.

I just visited your site and found out everything is working as expected.

    I think it’s a browser cache issue.

However, I can see the icon isn’t displaying for the accordion item. Under Accordions => Settings, please choose the Font-awesome version 5.

You can choose any icon from the link – https://fontawesome.com/v5/search

And paste the code under the style section.

Let us know if you’re facing any more issues.
    Regards.

Thank you. Since the accordions work in incognito mode (and now I see they also work in other browsers, too), I think you must be right. I have cleared my browser’s cache and turned off all plugins (and restarted the browser), and the problem persists—but I won’t ask more from you. I will look into this further myself, as I’m certain it must be something local to my browser. And thank you for the awesome font idea, I have fixed that as well. Many thanks for your help! (And you may close this thread). All the best!

Actually, for some reason, it looks like it was caused by a WordPress optimization feature. When I unchecked this java script feature, it now works fine.

Glad to know that you’ve fixed the issue, and thank you so much for sharing the screenshot. Just wondering where you found these performance settings. If you’re using a plugin, could you please tell me the name? I want to regenerate the issue on my end.

In my WordPress admin panel, I found them under settings here, followed by these Javascript setting here.

I can’t see the Performance option under settings!

Maybe it’s coming from a third-party plugin but not sure of the name of the plugin.

Ok, did some looking: I think it has to do with the type off plan one has. See this.

I think you’re right. It relates to WordPress hosting or other premium service plan.

Anyway, thank you for sticking with this thread. I am going to close this and give our dev team a yellow card for this issue.

    Regards.
