• When arriving at accordion using a link to accordion item anchor, accordion doesn’t work consistently (occasionally seems to work, mostly does not). If you arrive at the accordion using a link that does not involve an anchor, it works. (i.e., if you go from home page to “More Products” on the top menu, the accordion on that page works. But if you go from the home page to the top menu item “Edging” (which is an anchor in the accordion), it goes to Edging section of accordion but no sections in the accordion will work. Love this feature, hope you can fix it!

  • What browser are you working in? I’m seeing things work when I test.

Working in Firefox, viewing in Firefox, Chrome, IE, android phone. When I go to the home page (Wheeler icon upper left) and then click on menu item More Products, the accordion works. But when I go to the home page and then click on Drain Tile (in More Products submenu), then the accordion doesn’t work. The only difference I can tell is that the submenus use anchors. (If I refresh the screen, then accordian starts working again.)

I was able to recreate the issue in firefox interestingly. I’ve been experimenting and I think this has to do with when the initializing is taking place. I’m going to see if I can work out a fix.

Great, good luck, and thank you. I look forward to it. The accordion is a really nice feature and I want to keep it!

I notice inconsistent behavior in Chrome 81.0.4044.138 as well.

    1. navigate to https://wheeler-con.com/wh522n18m2/landscape-supply/more-products/#PaverAccessories – seemingly works ok
    2. Click on “Pavers And Walls” in the menu bar
    3. Click on Chrome’s “Back” button – now the accordion header is rendered as expanded, but the accordion panel/content is empty

I pushed out an update that should resolve this.

Thank you for your efforts. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem, after deleting browser caches etc. I’m experimenting with using the tabs now instead …

@kkpp Please do not offer @britner login access again. The author would risk having their plugin removed and their account banned if they took you up on that. It’s that serious.

@britner I have archived your reply.

While I know you have the best of intentions, it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren’t your customers, they’re your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.

If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.

Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:

    You get the idea.

We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It’s actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it’s difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.

When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They’ll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves. That’s how we get the next generation of developers.

    Sorry, I’m am amateur.

@jdembowski I was thinking he had a private page that showed an issue, not looking for admin access. Your support is appreciated.

Any update on this issue? This is breaking consistently in the latest version of Firefox (79.0) on Windows 10. Works mostly reliably on Chrome, messes up occasionally on the latest version of Edge (84.0.522.52).

You can try any “learn more” button on my staging site home page (https://f79.218.myftpupload.com/). They all go to anchors on the accordions set in the Advanced setting for the pane.

I am getting close to launching this site and would love to have this working. Otherwise, I will just have to send these links to the programs page. This adds an extra click for the user to open the relevant pane.

Hey @lenolan I just noticed this in Firefox 79. Previously in 78 I wasn’t getting any issue. I’m gonna div into this and get an update out sometime next week.
