• Hi, I would like to be able to add a custom ID to each accordion item which would then be able to open up the respective accordion using an anchor link URL request. There appears to be a custom class field available for each accordion item, though this doesn’t actually display in the source of the accordion. Would it be possible to have the following functionality added into the accordion block if possible?

    • the ability to add an ID for each accordion item and for that ID to reflect in the source either replacing or alongside the auto-generated accordion ID’s ‘ui-id-1’ etc
    • the custom class field to reflect in the source for each accordion item.
    • ideally there would be a feature which expands the accordion based on URL ID anchor request, so instead of just taking you to an unopened accordion item, it would open up and close any prior open accordion items.

    Thanks, Drew

    Hello Drew!

I sure get what you’re trying to complete and, first of all, would like to inform you that our developers are aware of the issue with custom classes in the Accordion block. Indeed, they can be saved in Gutenberg, but they don’t appear/apply to the front end. So I hope they come up with the solution in one of the nearest plugin releases. We let you know if we receive some updates on this matter.

As for your improvement suggestion, we definitely keep it in mind for future plugin releases if we collect more similar questions, requests, or suggestions from other customers. Thank you!
