• Hi, I was adjusting the footer text of my webpage via editor > footer text (php). When saving the changings I got an error message saying that the changes cannot be saved. When I checked my website again my background image + footer text has dissappeared and also the footer text CSS codes in the editor.

I don’t know what to do now. Any help is welcome!

  • It is assumed that you have a copy of the Sela downloaded zip file from WordPress. The Sela version should be the same as the one you have installed.

    1. Extract the zip file and find the file footer.php.

    2. Once you have the “footer” file, I would recommend that you take a backup copy of the “old footer file”. I have no idea if you have done heavy customization so I am suggesting this.

    3. Delete the “old footer file” and upload the footer.php file copy from step 1.

@bigacelloy: thanks for your reply. There is a back-up which I could use. I copied the footer file code from the back up and put it in the recent one. And it works! Thanks for thinking with me! Regards, Jenny
