Accidently deleted wp-admin/index.php file

  • Hi All,

    I accidently deleted wp-admin/index.php file, but when i uploaded again the file (index.php), but it seem have error.

    Warning: require_once(/home/kiddyfan/public_html/huatsms.com/wp-admin/admin.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/kiddyfan/public_html/huatsms.com/wp-admin/index.php on line 10

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/kiddyfan/public_html/huatsms.com/wp-admin/admin.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/kiddyfan/public_html/huatsms.com/wp-admin/index.php on line 10

    May i know what should i do? is it the permission setting?

    try MANUALLY re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!

    – BTW, if you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. It’s a great safety net.
