Accidentally removed word press instillation

  • Hi All,
    I’ve accidentally removed the word press instillation on my site via my hosting account at host gator. As a result I have literally lost the entire content of my site (I have regrettably and foolishly not backed it up – to my knowledge) I fear the worst and think I may have lost the entire sites content of over 30 pages of text and image content.
    I purchased a back up restored from my host, however this is over 2 weeks outdated and as a result is missing a considerable amount of content.
    This is a huge personal blow for me personally due to the amount of time and effort I have put into the site. I was wondering/hoping if anyone knows of any means possible that I could recover the site and its content or have I in fact lost it forever?

  • When you asked them restore did they over write your database if so then I am afraid to say that you have lost updates last two weeks.

    If you had created backup of database before you told them to restore then you would still have the content ask them if they did backup current database

    They did not overwrite my database, however I did not create a back up database myself – to my knowledge anyway.

    Is there any hope at all or does it seem I have lost it all?

    If they did not overwrite your database then you should have your content in the database as that is where all content is saved.

    They may have created another database so check phpmyadmin and see what databases you have there.
