Yep. I did it. I accidentally moved my wp-includes folder into my wp-content folder thinking I actually copied it over. So of course I go ahead and delete wp-includes.

The funny part was I was trying to backup everything to prepare for my upgrade to WordPress 3.1. I’m talking to my webhost now to see if I can recover them.

Does anyone have any suggestions to getting back these files? What is in the wp-includes folder? Would it be specific to my site or can I download WordPress again and just copy a fresh wp-includes over? Thanks!

You should be able to just copy a fresh wp-includes over (the same version as what you were backing up, of course). There’s nothing in there that would be site-specific; all of that should be in wp-content.
