Accidentally deleted admin user, now I can't reply to comments

  • Hello, I accidentally deleted one of my admin users on my wordpress site and now I’m not able to reply to comments. Any idea how I can fix this? I’m assuming its because of the deleted user. The issues started after that

    You said “deleted one of my admin users”. This means you have more that one admin user.

    Are you able to reply to comments using any other admin.

    If you want to add a admin user: Go to your Dashboard, click Users, and then add a new user with the administrator role. Log out, and then log in with the new admin account.

    Yeah I did have two, and then I even recreated another one after the mistake to see if that would fix the problem, but unfortunately no luck ??

    If you have a backup of your DB (take prior to you deleted the admin), then try to restore database with it.

    Alternately, ask your hosting provider if they a backup of your site (take prior to you deleted the admin). If they do, ask them restore your site with it.
