I have a sentence with a link, at the bottom of my blog site that I can’t get rid of. I was playing around with the sentence, somewhere in my dashboard JUST to see what the code would look like. I put it in a text widget in the sidebar. But I didn’t like it, so I deleted it. Well, I just went to my site, scrolled down to the the bottom and now the sentence moved. It is NOT at the side anymore, but it is now at the bottom of my blog site.

I went through everything in my dashboard trying to find it so I can delete it, but I can’t find it! How can I delete this? Here’s the blog site: https://momscrazywritinglife.com

    Thanks!

  • Check each location of widgets for this text widget…my guess is you added it twice and never noticed it there (until you did)

Sorry…I have to add that I’m kind of a WordPress beginner!

What does that mean? check each location? This is how I checked. I went into all my widgets on the right hand side and opened them all up to make sure they were all empty.

Was that what you were asking me?

    Thanks for your help!

It looks like that text widget is in the footer area.

Check if your theme also has widget locations/custom widget options…

Woo hoo! It’s fixed! I “swear” I did this before, but what i just did was go into my widgets on the right, open them up and THERE it was!

Thank you for your time and help! Have a great night! ??
