Accessing wordpress account

  • I am canceling with siteground who currently hosts my site (not launched yet). I will be hosting with bluehost in the future. I want to know what happens with my wordpress acct when I cancel with siteground? Will I be able to install wordpress with blue host and access my wordpress acct along with any themes I was using from there?

  • Nothing will happen to the user account you use to login here in the forums. There is no relationship between this site and any other WordPress site as far as login credentials are concerned. They are not connected in any way.

    No. There will be no connection between the two. The old account with siteground will no longer exist. If you are simply moving your existing site, you should make a complete backup of your site database and all files prior to canceling your hosting account with siteground.

    If you mean the username and password you used to access the dashboard of your site. Then if you clone the site and use that backup for your new site, then all of the same settings, plugins, themes will be on your new site.
