• Issue 1:

Latest release 4.6.4 has caused an accessibility issue. Search feature in the top menu (or header) returns “Multiple form labels” accessibility issue.

    Issue 2:

Also, the search box should un-collapse using “Esc” key for keyboard only users.

    Thanks many.

  • Hi @besmartco,

I can understand Issue #2, however, I don’t think I understand Issue #1. Would you mind explain a bit more?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Herman,

The issue can be replicated by

    • adding “Astra search” element in top menu (via Theme customisation and Header builder )
    • Run accessibility checker using WAVE accessibility checker

The WAVE accessibility checker display (2 X?Multiple form labels) errors for the the “Astra Search” element.

I am testing this on WordPress 6.2.2 and Astra Theme version 4.6.4.

    Many Thanks,

    Hi @besmartco,

This is what I have [screenshot]

    Did I do this correctly?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hi Herman,

    Thanks for looking into this.

I have manged to find the cause of the issue. The accessibility alert only appears, when you add “search” element for both Desktop and Mobile view.

Please see screenshot of the issues on the links below:

    Many Thanks,

    Hi @besmartco,

    Kind regards,
