When trying to access https://www.museumwaalsdorp.nl/ [based upon Colormag 3.0.7] on an iPhone, the navigation header collapses to a “list button”.

    However,

    1. When trying to switch languages, no unfolding of the options bar (arrow down) take place. That makes it impossible to select the other language option.
    2. Unfolding of the other navigation menu items is very inconsistent; is there an issue with the “area” which sees the user selection?

Under the previous 2.x version of Colormag this problem did not exist,.

I have traced back the problem to the WP Accessibility plug-in option “Hide the accessibility toolbar on small screens” (or alike – this was freely translated from Dutch to English).
For the time being, I have removed the selection of this suboption, thus the Accessibility sidebar is now active.

That seems pretty strange. The only thing that WP Accessibility does to trigger hiding the accessibility toolbar on small screens is to add the class a11y-responsive to the toolbar and assign display: none; on screens below 800px. I’m not sure why that would have any impact on your theme menu. Can you re-enable that at some point so I can take a look at what’s happening?

    Dear Joe,

I have reactivated the small screen button of the Accessibility plug-in.
Surprisingly, I found no issues today (all caches cleared etc).

In the meantime, however, a colleague discovered an incorrect setup of the wp-optimise plugin. That selection was disabled. It caused JavaScript not to be loaded at the right moment in time. Now, I suspect that the latter behaviour affected the small screen Accessibility option as well.

I will mark this problem as resolved.
