• In our accessibility compliance review, the GDPR Cookie Consent Banner was flagged because…

This cookie banner is featured prominently for visual users, but not for keyboard and screen reader users.

The suggested resolution is to “move the element containing the cookie consent banner to the top of the DOM, preferably directly after the ‘”‘skip to main content'”‘ link”. Regardless of the position settings, the banner remains after the page content in the DOM.

Is there any way I can choose where to insert the banner in my code so it will be above the page content in the DOM?

    Thanks.

    Hi @darsky,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

Seems like your are using the legacy version of our plugin. So we recommend you to migrate it to the revamped version, as this case is already handled in it. Please refer this thread, to know more about the process of migration.

    Hi, @cookieyesteam,

We are actually using version 3.1.7. I know I can set the consent banner to appear in the header. But it is just positioned there visually and still resides after the content in the DOM. So how do I move the cookie consent banner to the top of the DOM?

    Thanks.

    Hi @darsky,

Even though you are on the latest version of the plugin, it is still on the legacy UI. So as we have already mentioned in this thread, please follow the steps to migrate to the revamped UI.

Oh, wow! Thanks so much for clearing this up for me. I have upgraded it to the new UI and that resolved my issue.

    Thanks.
