Access via Plesk – but domain already published on another provider

    Domain is already published on another provider (Jimdo), and will be deleted once proper site is built on new hosting provider: here I have already installed a new WP via their Plesk backend.

    However Plesk then wants to log me in through OldDomain.foo/wp-login.php? with the other hosting provider, which of course is wrong

    Question: how can I access my new WP installation with my new provider via their Plesk?

  • You could add another domain as “Domain Alias” (e.g. TestDomain.foo) in Plesk and point it to “OldDomain.foo”. You need to remove the checkbox for 301 Redirects and afterwards you should be able to access your wp-admin directly via TestDomain.foo/wp-login.php …
