A few months ago my husband and I didn’t pay for our domain/hosting fees and let it slip. We are now trying to see if there’s anyways we can access our old posts. Even if it’s a long shot, is there anyway to access old content?

    Our website was 2-copper-coins.com

Any help would be great. Thank you!

  • You would have to gain access to the site or get in touch with the hosting company and see if they still have your site available depending of course on the time frame between lapses.

I know this doesn’t help now but I would recommend, if you do start another website, to install updraft to make backups of your db and posts.

You might try WayBack Machine…I did a quick search and saw some posts from March.

Ask your hosting company if the kept a backup of your site. WayBack Machine is also your friend and it might show you some of your old posts.

As others point out, best bet at this point to recover your data is to make nice with your hosting company and hope for the best. They will likely require payment to recovery your data, if it is still possible. Depending on the time frame, the hosting company may no longer have backups. If you want to recover your domain name, that is likely to be problematic too – looks like it’s been put up for auction. Sorry. Worst case, recover what you can by cut and paste from the Wayback Machine and learn from the experience – always make and keep your own backups.
