access to my word press site

  • I can not confirm the version of word press as I am unable to access the site to confirm it.

    I was making changes to the header when the changes were taking more than 20 minutes to activate once saved. I thought something was wrong so I exited the page by hitting the back arrow and this message pops up when I try to log on:Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/prempa/public_html/wp-content/themes/infiword/library/cleanup.php:7) in /home/prempa/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1196.

    I am unable to even get to the home page to log on.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    If that was a theme file, use cPanel or FTP access to temporarily rename the folder for that theme to deactivate it and then WordPress should fall back to Twenty Fifteen…and that should let you get back in at your site.

    Hey Katrina, I had the same problems with the infiword theme & I solved the problem.
    – Check the error message and edit the file mentioned (in the example above its “cleanup.php”)

    Right at the top it says:

    <?php
    /* ————————————————————————- *
    * Contains the functions used to clean up the WordPress theme
    /* ————————————————————————- */
    ?>

    <?php
    // start all the functions

    – Now remove the newline after the first ?> (line 7)
    save and upload to your server.
    – you’ have to edit about 8 files or so, bofore all problems are over.
