• I am absolutely new to WordPress so excuse a potentially silly questions…

I am currently planning a project with the following requirements:

    – registered users must be able to create a blog (so they are the blog-owner – see below)

    – blog-owners must be able to provide write access to other users

    – it must be possible that the blog-owner transfers the ownership to an other person

Please note that the above can be done by the blog-owner. It is not sufficient that the WordPress admin can do this.

As this project would run multiple blogs WordPress should also be able to generate statistics such as “last updated” “most viewed”, etc.

is all of this this possible with WordPress??

    Thanks
    Christoph

Ok – seems that I am already close to answering my own question: There is WordPress MU which is able to handle multiple blogs. I also read about WP’s rights management that enables the owner of a blog to give edit-access rights to other persons.

    Only 2 open questions:
    – Is there a way to transfer the blog ownership from one person to another
    – Is WordPress MU able to generate statistics such as “last updated” “most viewed”, etc.

Me again – there is something called buddypress that provides statistics over all blogs – fine.
I found also a way to transfer blog ownership.

Perfect! WordPress is the right app for me!
