Access Press Mag 2.5.5.

  • Latest update has totally ruined my site – https://www.fintechdirect.net/

    How do I get this fixed:

    Recoverable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home1/apeyton/Fintechdirect.net/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1111

    Or how can I go back to 2.5.4?

    EDIT: I got back to 2.5.4 so site is ok. But how do I fix this in future? Thanks.

    I have the same problem. 2.5.5 is bugged.

    Thanks for the reply. I can’t do a screenshot now as it’s a news site and need to keep it looking precise.

    I also can’t attach screenshot on this forum. No option in message box.

    Description – “News” section formats incorrectly in 2.5.5. This is only on the home page.

    And the message “Recoverable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home1/apeyton/Fintechdirect.net/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1111” will also appear at the bottom of the home page.

    I have updated to 2.5.7 – and problems again.

    In Appearance in wordpress – there is no Theme Options – that was useful to sort out front page order/post dates.

    Where on earth has it gone? Why remove it?

    Will that be returned as I will now have to go back to 2.5.4 again?

    (I can’t add image on this forum to show you.)

    Thank you for writing back.

    You are facing these issues because we have removed the theme option and moved all the options to the customizer. The reason behind this change is the WordPress soon stop supporting such old options frameworks.

    Please update the latest version of the theme and go to the appearance >> customize >> parallax section >> check all the parallax sections that you have configured before using the theme options and save.
