(problem is i am the webmaster – just not a master of the tech) i am hosting my site with https://www.hostway.com on linux. it has worked fine until this morning when i published a few small changes to the site using microsoft expression web. it must have made a change somehow to the blog folder.? when i browse to the folders using expression web all seems in order – all the files are there i just cant access them.

any ideas suggestions most welcome – from this mornings research it may have something to do with an .htaccess file but i am not sure.

thanks in advance to anyone who may know how to resolve this.

  • With FTP, try deleting the .htaccess in your /blog/ directory; that should get you back in. If not, check permisisons on your /blog/ directory; they should be 755.
