access denied trying to install plugin

    Whenever i try to install a plugin through the wp-admin i get an “access denied” error message. Over the weekend my site went down for what appeared to be my .htaccess file getting stuck in some eternal loop. I don’t know if one relates to the other just thought i would mention it. Any advise would be appreciated so i can get these plugins installed.
